Eurolite collaborated with Figure 3 and Smith + Andersen on a minimalist lighting design for the Allsteel showroom, developed with careful consideration for the exposed ductwork and piping throughout the space. The project not only achieved full LEED points—exceeding ASHRAE standards by 35%—but also delivered the required illumination levels for a variety of office environments while supporting the retail function of a systems furniture showroom.
The lighting design was anchored by suspended linear pendants using high-output T5 lamps and MR11 fixtures installed diagonally at 18 feet above the floor to provide general illumination. Feature ceiling details were highlighted with maintenance-free LED sources, while T5 lamps in wall coves delivered strong accent lighting within display niches. Adjustable double MR16 fixtures were used to highlight objects on tables, adding texture and ambient depth to the space.
All lighting is managed through daylight sensors integrated with a Lutron dimming system.
